What we collect
Your account details (name and email), what you create and upload (descriptions, images, logos, measurements), your orders, pledges and shipping address, messages you send to sellers and to Soshi, and basic usage information that keeps the site working. Card details are handled by Stripe; Soshi never sees or stores your full card number. When you back a crowdfunded batch, Stripe saves your card so it can be charged if the batch is funded.
How we use it
To make your previews and production files; to process and ship orders and crowdfunded batches; to calculate sales tax; to answer our production partners’ questions about your order; to send you order and pledge updates; and to keep Soshi safe and working.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to do those things:
- Payments and tax: Stripe.
- Making and shipping orders (your design, name and shipping address): Printful, Printify, Shapeways, Gooten, Prodigi, PrintKK, Merchize, Yoycol, Contrado, CJdropshipping, AliExpress and BuckyDrop, depending on the product.
- Production partners that make batches (crowdfunded and pre-order batches) get your design. When a batch ships straight to customers or backers, they also get the name and shipping address for each package. Some partners receive these through a shared Google Sheet.
- Shopify, if you connect your own Shopify store.
- Email: SendGrid and Resend. Database and storage: Supabase. Hosting: Railway.
- AI providers that generate designs and analyze requests: OpenAI, Anthropic and Tripo.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which use cookies to count visits and see how people use the site (pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, rough location, device and browser). Clarity records anonymous replays of visits to help us fix confusing pages; what you type in forms is hidden. Neither gets your name or email.
If you back a crowdfunded batch, the creator of that batch doesn’t get your contact details or address; Soshi and its production partners handle shipping. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Your choices
To stop analytics, block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out add-on. Delete your account from Settings, or email hello@makesoshi.com; we’ll remove your creations and personal details except records we must keep for orders, taxes or legal reasons. You can also ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it.
