Why skip inventory
The old way to start a clothing brand was to guess. You picked a design, ordered a few hundred pieces in every size, and hoped they sold before you ran out of money or closet space.
Made to order flips that. Nothing gets made until someone buys it, so there's nothing to buy upfront and nothing left over. Every order is made on its own, so there's no minimum to wait for either.
Start with one product
Pick the thing your people would actually wear. A crewneck for your run club, a hoodie for your group chat, a tee for your podcast. One great product beats ten okay ones.
TipNot sure where to start? Describe the vibe in a sentence and let Soshi show you a few directions. You can change anything after.
Make it look like a brand
A brand is more than a logo, but a logo helps. Soshi can make a logo and a simple brand kit (colors and fonts) so your shop, your products and your posts all match.
- Keep it simple: one or two colors, one font for headlines.
- Use the same name everywhere: shop, Instagram, TikTok.
- Put the logo somewhere small too, like a sleeve or the back neck.
Price it so you make money
Your price has to cover the cost to make it plus Soshi's fee, and Soshi won't let you list below that. Before you publish, you'll see exactly what you earn per sale.
A good starting point: look at what similar brands charge, then make sure the number left over feels worth it to you. You can change your price any time.
Share it and let orders come in
Once it's live, you get a shop link to post anywhere. When someone orders, the piece is made and shipped for you, and you get paid your earnings.
If you'd rather sell on your own site, you can connect a Shopify store and add your designs there too.
