Fees and what you earn

Soshi keeps a fee of 18% of your item price. You earn your price minus that fee and the cost to make it.

Soshi’s fee

Soshi keeps a platform fee from each sale, shown before you list. Today it’s 18% of your item price. There’s no monthly fee to sell.

What you earn per sale

Your price − Soshi’s fee − the cost to make it = what you earn.

  • The publish form shows “You earn $X per sale” before you publish.
  • Card processing fees come out of Soshi’s fee, not your earnings.
  • Shipping is charged to the buyer separately and covers shipping, so it isn’t part of your earnings.

Things that lower earnings

  • Discount codes you create come out of your earnings. See Creating discount codes.
  • Refunds and chargebacks on an order take that order’s earnings back.

Pre-orders and crowdfunded batches

For pre-orders you already paid the factory, so the making cost isn’t taken out again. Crowdfunded batches work a little differently; see Crowdfunded batches.

When and how you get paid: see Getting paid (payouts).
