How do pre-orders work?

A pre-order item is sold before its batch is ready and has a “ships by” date. You pay when you order.

Most things on Soshi aren’t pre-orders. They’re made to order and ship in about 1 to 2 weeks.

A pre-order is different: a creator has a batch being made, and they sell pieces of it before it arrives. The listing shows a “ships by” date.

How it works

  1. You pay when you order.
  2. Your delivery estimate at checkout starts from the ships-by date.
  3. The creator ships your order once their batch arrives, and you get a shipped email with tracking.

If it’s running late

If a pre-order won’t ship by its date, we’ll email you a new date. You can wait, or reply to that email and we’ll cancel it and refund you in full.

Pre-orders aren’t the same as crowdfunded batches, where nobody is charged unless the goal is reached. See Crowdfunded batches.
